Hey guys!
My name is Sherman and I am a young but big and rather robust Cane Corso. I was sold on Craig’s List to a really nice lady who thought it would be a good idea to send me to a prison training program for my food aggression. Not a good idea at all…. The only thing that accomplished was they got a little more money from her for a slow feeder bowl. They taught her to squat down and tilt the bowl up towards me and put one cup of food in it. Stay there while I eat. Then dump another cup of food, let me eat and then another cup of food…REALLY? At times I got frustrated and lunged at her saying“Give me the friggin’ food!!!” She was kinda scared of me and was about to kill me over it. Luckily, a vet that she approached contacted Blue Lion about taking me and Lisa was totally on board. When she picked me up, Lisa asked my owner “why don’t you just put the food in the bowl and leave the room?” That never occurred to her because the prison program didn’t tell her to do that. So Lisa loaded me up, took me to the ranch and we’ve never had a problem! The good news is that I get along with other dogs (they loved me at doggie daycare), cats and people! I am also neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Now I do have to tell you that I have a lot of energy and need a bunch of exercise. I can also play kinda rough so a person who is a “delicate little flower” might not appreciate me too much. No kids either- don’t want to inadvertently hurt little ones. I love to chase a ball or Kong that you throw but you probably won’t be getting it back. LOL I am very affectionate and love car rides. So if you think I’m the perfect dog for you, email Lisa at bluelionrescue@yahoo.com.
